There are more than 220 children at fromt the ages of 2 to 5 years old in the Trieu Dong Commune,
where they are currently using 5 classrooms, 3 classrooms in Bich La village and
2 in Nai Cuu village. At the Day Care Center located in Bich La village, there
are about 140 children studying here, so each room contains about 46 children,
it’s too crowded for all to study.
Some children, in the Trieu Dong Commune have to stay home or attend Day Care
at nearby communities which also are crowded. This is a challenge of local authorities
and children’s parents as they had no solution to solve this difficulty. There is
a need to build two more classrooms with toilets in Bich La Day Care Centre campus
in order to improve the quality of studying for children here.
The Day Care Centre which is under construction from the assistance of the D.O.V.E. Fund will
be located next to the existing school and will consist of two additional classrooms
and toilets. This addition, along with the existing classrooms at Bich La Trung,
will make this one of the largest schools in the commune allowing the 220 children
to attend Day Care in the Trieu Dong Commune in a comfortable size classroom.
